So, your man says I’d get a massage but I don’t want to smell all fru fru! I can understand that, as a lot of massage oils are not just meant for the man in your life! What if you told him you could make him a manly massage oil that he can take with him to get a massage or have you give him his massage, would he then like to do something that is soooo beneficial to your muscles and feeling better.

Below I will give you a couple recipes that will leave your man wanting to reap the benefits of getting a massage!!

But first I will give you some information on each of the products that you will be using in the massage oil blends.

Carrier oils:

Jojoba Oil: Jojoba Oil is not an oil it is actually a wax. It is a highly stable with a long shelf life. It is said that Jojoba acts as a natural anti-inflammatory and is a great choice for use in massage and for skin that is inflamed. It is also said that its composition is very similar to that of the skin’s natural sebum (oil).

Fractionated Coconut Oil: Is a highly stable, odorless and colorless oil that can be helpful when you need a really light oil that is penetrating. This oil will not go rancid very quickly therefor the shelf life is longer making it a good fit with the jojoba oil. Because it is affordable and it has a longer shelf life it is a good oil to keep on reserve should you run low on your other more precious carrier oils.

Sweet Almond Oil: Is a fixed oil that is nondrying and emollient. It is expressed from the kernels of sweet almonds. This oil assist in reducing itching, cracking and inflammation. The normal shelf life of almond oil is 2 years.

Essential oils:

Cedarwood Atlas: (Cedrus Atlantica)

This Essential Oil has a woody rich scent. This oil is emotionally grounding and calming, it was used in Egyptians used this oil for spiritual process, it is also an oil that is used to combat negativity. SO what a great oil to add to a massage at the start of a day!

Bay Laurel:(Laurus Nobilis)

This essential oil has some unique features to it. It has a camphorous and spicy notes but also has a sweet under tone to it. This oil promotes confidence and courage and helps you to focus on the needs of the day.

Grapefruit White:(Citrus Paradisi,)

This oil has a sweet tangy aroma. This Essential oil has a phototoxicity issue when using this oil wait 12 hours before going out into the sun, it may cause a burn. This essential oil is an amazing to use for lymphatic tonic, aids in reducing blood pressure as well as boosts immune system.

Lemon:(Citrus limonum)

This Essential oil is an excellent stress buster as well as assisting people with insomnia, this essential oil is a good body cleanser and also assist with upset stomachs. So, at the end of the day when you are exhausted this is a great oil to help you rest. This Essential oil has a phototoxicity issue when using this oil wait 12 hours before going out into the sun, it may cause a burn.

Vetiver:(Vetiveria Zizanoides )

Vetiver is a grass; the scent of vetiver is very pleasant earthy but musky smell. This Oil has a cooling effect on the mind and body. This oil has some amazing benefits to it such as anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, nervine and a sedative so is a wonderful choice for an evening massage, it will assist in helping you sleep.

Clary Sage: (Salvia Sclarea)

This Essential oil has numerous reasons why you need to have this in your blend! Here are a few of them- antidepressant, antibacterial, antiseptic not to mention it’s great for the skin. This oil is a amazing oil to assist in calming the nerves as well. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid using it, since there has not been enough research done on the transference of effects through breast milk to children.

1: A Morning Wake Me Up

¼ cup Jojoba Oil

¼ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil

7 drops Cedarwood Atlas: (Cedrus Atlantica)

    5 drops Bay Laurel:(Laurus Nobilis) 

    3 drops Grapefruit White:(Citrus Paradisi,)

 

2:  An Evening To Relax

¼ cup Sweet Almond Oil

¼ cup Fractionated Coconut Oil

7 drops Vetiver:(Vetiveria Zizanoides )

5 drops Lemon:(Citrus limonum)

3 drops Clary Sage: (Salvia Sclarea)
