Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense, comes from the tree in the Boswellia genus. They are small trees and/or shrubs that are native to north east Africa down by the Red Sea. The tree has several feather-like leaves that have white or pale pink flowers.
The plant produces a natural resin which is then collected through a rather consuming process of making a notch in the bark. After several days, the resin has hardened and is scraped from the tree.
