christmas tree blue

Christmas is not only a time for spectacular decorations, When family gets together and the giving and receiving gifts start. It’s also the best time to delight the senses with amazing smells.

The mouth-watering aroma of roasting turkey or ham, freshly cooked pies, and all the trimmings, never fails to bring back cherished memories of Christmases past with family and friends.

This year, make your Christmas even more festive by filling your home with the welcoming aromas traditionally associated with the season by merely diffusing your essential oils. Instead of using all the chemical aerosol sprays and artificially scented candles, you will be using safe and natural essential oils that will produce a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. That will have everyone wondering what you are doing as the scent in the air is inviting and refreshing.

Here is a list of the variety of traditional aromas to use during the holiday celebrations, I have chosen these essential oils because they all smell great individually, and will blend together really well too. You can mix any of these essential oils together in various combinations for your diffuser or burner to suit your personal taste, however you choose to use them they will be sure to invoke a truly aromatic holiday season of goodwill!

Pine Needle essential oil

Nothing beats the enriching aroma of a freshly cut Christmas tree, but sometimes in order to avoid the issue of getting prickly pine needs all over you choose to get an artificial tree. To put back the enlivening smell of a real tree, it is simple just fill a water-spray bottle with around 50mls of water, add 6 or 7 drops of pine needle essential oil, a little bit of castile soap, and shake the mixture vigorously. Now lightly spray the tree, but be sure to avoid spraying near any expensive polished wooden surfaces.
