Plantain/Violet Leaf Salve

Apply externally on cuts and wounds. A drawing salve for bee, wasp and hornet stings, bug and snake bites.

Ingredients: Plantain, violet leaf, beeswax, olive oil and jojoba.

Plantain Leaves

This oil contains high amount of allantoin which is known to be natures bacteria inhibitor and has been proven to help speed the process of healing minor wounds and inflamed skin. Plantain also contains vitamins A and C, as well as calcium. The Native Americans also knew what they were doing when they would crush these leaves and apply their healing “juice” to relieve the pain of bee stings, insect bites, poison oak/ivy, and a whole host of other skin ailments.

Plantain also contains a multitude of active constituents that are known to hold antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory benefits.

Violet Leaf

This oil is known to be Anti-inflammatory by nature, violet leaves serve as a topical soothing aide for skin issues. Having this trait comes from their high mucilage content, which is a viscous gelatin-like solution that is found in their leaves. This is the component that lends them the ability to soothe abraded skin tissue from just about any cause.  When added to an oil base like this product is, it becomes a great choice for ‘pain management’.
