Description
Scent: The scent of Citronella is smooth, sweet, grassy and lemon-like. Because of its geraniol content, it smells somewhat similar to Geranium Rose, and in fact some imitation Rose oils are adulterated with Citronella and other oils, as an inexpensive alternative.
Blends With: Bergamot, Cedar, Geranium, Lemon,Orange, Pine.
For use on the skin (Topical Application)
Nervous Exhaustion, Fatigue: Diffusion, Topical Application on heart and chest area, Whole Body Massage or Aromatic Bath.
Arthritis and Rheumatism: Topical Application.
Cold, Flu, Mild Respiratory Infection: Direct Inhalation from a Diffuser.
Oily Skin, Excess Perspiration: A total of 2% in a carrier oil or an unscented skin care product.
Insect Repellant: Diffuse, Topical Application.
Head Lice: Add 2% to any carrier oil and massage onto head. Leave on for at least an hour.
Safety Precautions:
Citronella is considered non-toxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing. It may cause contact dermatitis in some people, so use with care.
